One baby born in southern Spain would end up changing how the whole world sees.

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in Málaga. Over a career of more than seven decades he painted, sculpted, made ceramics and prints, and moved restlessly from style to style.

With Georges Braque he developed Cubism, showing objects from several angles at once, and works like Guernica turned art into a powerful statement about the world. Modern art, design and even advertising still carry his fingerprints.
