Some poems refuse to fade. His was literally about refusing to fade.

Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea, Wales, on October 27, 1914. He began publishing poetry as a teenager and became famous for the musical richness of his language and his electrifying readings on radio and on stage.

His villanelle 'Do not go gentle into that good night' is one of the most quoted poems in English, and his 'play for voices,' Under Milk Wood, is still performed worldwide. He died in New York in 1953, aged just 39.

Is there a poem that has stayed with you since school?
